About The Lodge

The Satilla Lodge was built by timber blown down in the spring storm of 1993. The lumber was milled and aged on site before construction. The Satilla Lodge and River Cabin are located on the beautiful, unspoiled Satilla River (one of Southern Living Magazine’s “Favorites”, Spring 2002). Enjoy bird watching, wild flowers, nature trails and the night sky that is untouched by light pollution. There are 650 acres of privately owned property and 2 1/2 miles of river frontage. The lodge and cabin have their own floating docks. There is also a boat ramp on the property. The river cabin is one mile from the lodge down a winding, private road adjacent to the river. The property is located in Camden County, GA. It is approximately 1 hour north of Jacksonville, FL and 1 hour south of Brunswick, GA. The nearest small towns are Woodbine and Folkston, GA. The Lodge is centrally located between the Okefenokee Swamp, Cumberland Island, and St. Simons and Jekyll Islands.
